blurry may & Jack Brown

7:00 pm - 10:00 pm @ Friends & Co Ice Cream
– blurry may & Jack Brown

Bill Baxter and Laurie de Leonne are blurry may, a singer-songwriter acoustic rock duo in greater Seattle. When we began in 2018, we said “He's a rocker, she's a classical musician. He plays guitar, she plays piano. He improvises, she reads notation. His writing has a gritty edge, hers is crafted and polished. His love of music connects him with the wild, hers connects her with the tame. And sometimes, none of these things are true. From all of this, blurry may was born.” Since then, we’ve each drifted more towards the others ‘way,’ and we’ve discovered that co-writing has made our songs more relatable and universal than they would have been if they were a singular effort

It all started when Jack Brown noticed the names Lennon/McCartney under the song titles on his sister's vinyl LPs. You mean they just MADE UP these incredible songs?! That revelation kicked off a lifelong journey of nearly 60 years.
In the 2000s, Jack created the top-tier Colorado regional rock band You Call That ART? (think Green Day meets Chili Peppers). He later moved to NYC and dreamt up the idea of re-interpreting the classic rock catalog from AC/DC to ZZ Top on solo acoustic guitar.
Now settled in the Pacific Northwest, Jack is back to the same goal he started with: telling fun stories by making up songs of his own.

RJ Mercer & Jared Elmore

7:00 pm - 10:00 pm @ Twede's Cafe
– RJ Mercer & Jared Elmore

RJ Mercer is a Seattle-based Americana singer-songwriter whose music carries the old-world soul and wide-open spirit of the American West. Raised in the ranchlands of Eastern Montana, Mercer draws on deep roots to shape songs that feel both timeless and lived-in. He is the founder and frontman of Seattle Americana outfit Fallen Oaks, a band gaining momentum following the release of their debut album. In solo settings, he weaves original songs together with classic country and bluegrass standards.

Jared Elmore grew up between Texas, Tennessee, and Ohio, learning his first chords from a grandfather who played old country and gospel on banjo and guitar. After falling hard for the old-time stringband scene in Portland, jamming every week, playing square dances, and never missing the Portland Old-Time Festival. Jared landed in Seattle, where he now teaches clawhammer banjo and old-time guitar at Dusty Strings. His musical touchstones are the raw, irresistible energy of 1920s–30s recordings: Roscoe Holcomb, Buell Kazee, Clarence Ashley, and the hypnotic rhythm of bum-ditty banjo and boom-chuck guitar that hooked him the moment he stepped into his first jam. His music has taken him from Appalachian flatfooting to busking in Galway, playing for sean-nós dancers on a tiny island off the west coast of Ireland. Jared brings deep roots, genuine community spirit, and a clawhammer groove that will keep your feet moving all afternoon.

Birdie Fenn Cent

7:00 pm - 10:00 pm @ Mastrogiannis Distillery
– Birdie Fenn Cent

"The music that Birdie Fenn Cent writes and sings is as pure and honest as it gets. She lives it and writes about it and writes about it and lives it. She’s a songwriter’s songwriter whose blood runs the color of music. Her songs shake things up, turn things inside out and dance with the skeletons in society’s closet. It takes courage to be vulnerable, to let the birds out of your heart and pull the rug out from under your demons. Birdie does this-- line after line, song after song."
~jacob crabtree

8 PM to 11 PM
Wes Weddell & Alicia Healey

8:00 PM - 11:00 PM @ Twin Peaks Pub21+
– Wes Weddell & Alicia Healey

Torch, twang, story, & style - original songs with deep NW roots
Songwriter, producer, and recording engineer Alicia Healey delivers alt-country ballads and rock-flavored songs in which the sometimes sweet, sometimes gritty stories of her characters come to life. Some are heartbreaking, one or two are cautiously hopeful, all strive to tap into our trials and celebrations: the everyday of the everybody. Powerful vocals and driving acoustic guitar offer sit-at-the-top-of-your-window-seat listening.
For the past 25 years, Wes Weddell has worked multiple shifts in the engine room of Seattle’s roots music scene as frontman, sideman, writer, teacher, and community-builder. “Always heartfelt and well-constructed” (Seattle Weekly), listeners have come to expect Weddell’s regionally rooted songs to “speak for themselves” (No Depression). Since 2010, he has written more than 60 songs inspired by books for The Bushwick Book Club Seattle, an expanding collective of songwriters creating new art sparked by literature.

9 PM to Midnight
Greenwood Music Collective

9:00 PM - 11:59 PM @ North Bend Theatre
– Greenwood Music Collective

What if Fleetwood Mac formed in the '90s—only they met in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood instead of Laurel Canyon, and half the band hailed from the Midwest and Idaho? That's the spirit behind Greenwood Music Collective (GMC)—a band of westbound wanderers who crossed paths, swapped stories, and cooked up a fresh take on Americana. Founded by drummer Dave Hill Jr., guitarist Jack Quick, and vocalist Michela Miller, GMC blends folk, alt-country, and '70s rock into harmony-rich, heartfelt songs with sneaky hooks. From murder ballads and hard-earned wisdom to a singalong ode to baking the perfect pie, their music walks the line between grit and grace.

John Hyde Band

9:00 pm - 11:59 pm @ Moose Lodge
– John Hyde Band

Considering Jon Hyde's versatility and talent displayed on his four solo recordings offered here, it's easy to understand why he's one of those musicians other musicians seek out. He's a great singer-songwriter, guitarist, pedal steel player, bassist, and drummer... the man even holds a degree in percussion. But it’s not just that he knows his way around all these instruments; it’s what he has to say on them that really matters. What Hyde brings to a recording session or gig is always inspired and always makes the song better. That’s why he’s heard on records by revered artists such as avant-jazz luminaries Wayne Horvitz and Robin Holcomb, Indie artists like Jim White, Karl Blau, Laura Veirs, The Walkabouts and Jesse Sykes, and it's why he's often invited back to the studio by Grammy-nominated producer Tucker Martine.

Imagine all this craft and inspiration melded in his original songs and you begin to get an idea of how good Hyde's music is. Exhibit A, his debut album Yellow Light. Pretty much everything on the record is performed by Hyde, but what you hear is half-a-dozen individual, creative musical voices, each bringing a hook, a riff, or a refrain that lifts the whole into a seamless performance.

Jon Hyde's records are chock full of catchy, melodic rock and indie pop in the vein of groups such as Jayhawks and Wilco - you can even hear a little Lennon & McCartney in there - all infused with his distinctively warm voice and lyrical stories that pull you in closer.

In addition to the aforementioned artists Hyde has recorded with, he is also a core member, singer and pedal steel player for one of Seattle's preeminent country bands 1 Uppers, he has played as a member of The Transmissionary Six, Terry Lee Hale, Rock Paper Scissors, and he has appeared on records by the likes of Glimmer, Long Wasted, Downpilot and Girl Singer.

Jon's 2024 album The Sad Lights is out now on Drums & Wires Recordings.

Salt Horse

9:00 pm - 11:59 pm @ Pour House Bar & Grill21+
– Salt Horse

Salt Horse formed in 2024 and sounds like they arrived fully formed out of a long American tradition of country bands that don’t quite stay in their lane. There’s twang, but it’s not polite. There are hooks, but they show up a little sideways. The band draws a loose line between Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, and The Beatles — not as influence so much as shared DNA that’s been playing in the background for decades.

Their debut EP (Spring 2025) fits comfortably in that late-20th-century alt-country space where rock bands learned how to shuffle and country bands learned how to turn it up. Nothing overworked, nothing precious — just songs that sound like they were written fast, recorded honestly, and left alone.
